Safety Policy
The Chairman and Rally Organising Committee regard Health and Safety as the most important activity at this event. It is intended that members, visitors, exhibitors and contractors shall comply with the Organising Committee's Health and Safety Policy outlined in this document.
1. All members, visitors, exhibitors and contractors are to do all that is reasonably practicable to prevent injury to themselves or others and to safeguard equipment and property.
2. The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and supporting legislation are to be adhered to.
3. The National Traction Engine Trust policy for the safe organisation of all rallies and similar associated events is detailed in its Code of Practice. This, together with such documents as shall from time to time be published by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), are to be used for guidance.
4. The Rally Organising Committee's policy for Health and Safety is amplified by the following special instructions:
OLD MACHINERY CAN BE TEMPERAMENTAL MOVING VEHICLES AND PARTS CAN BE DANGEROUS AND YOU ARE ASKED TO KEEP YOURSELF AND YOUR CHILDREN WELL CLEAR. PLEASE RESPECT THE ROPED OFF AREAS AND BARRIERS; THESE HAVE BEEN PROVIDED FOR YOUR SAFETY.
ADMISSION TO THE SITE AND THE GROUND ADJACENT TO THE EVENT IS ON CONDITION THAT THE ORGANISERS CANNOT HOLD THEMSELVES RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ACCIDENT OR INJURY HOWEVER CAUSED.
THE ORGANISERS RETAIN THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ADMISSION.
This event is organised by the Stoke Goldington Steam Rally Organising Committee, a sub-committee of the Stoke Goldington Village Hall.
